The use of Oxidan chloroisocyanurates, leads to simultaneous development of the stabiliser (cyanuric acid), whose concentration in water will increase but should not exceed local regulation limits. These values vary from country to country in the range 75-150 ppm. The consumption of chlorine is obviously influenced by external and/or environmental factors that determine the quantity required. The most important of them are
- number of bathers
- sunlight, temperature, wind (especially for outdoor swimming-pools)
- surrounding vegetation
- atmospheric effects (storms, rain)
